Oligo Lands $60M to Shield AI Agents From Real-Time Attacks

Importance · 5/5Sources · 1

Cybersecurity startup Oligo closed a $60 million funding round led by Ballistic Ventures and others to extend runtime protection to AI agents. The round brings total funding to $140 million, following a $50 million Series B in January 2025. The company, founded in 2022 with 129 employees, aims to block active attacks without interrupting applications using deep app inspection.

As enterprises deploy autonomous AI agents faster than security teams can track, traditional detection methods struggle to keep pace. Oligo's runtime blocking addresses the shrinking exploit window, where attackers often leverage patches before defenders can apply them. The funding supports virtual patching and protection against unknown vulnerabilities in software libraries.
